Most people say crochet is easier mechanically but find instructions harder. i think it depends on what you learned first. i think knitting was easier but i found crochet simple too. Everyone will have different opinion. It’s good to learn both.

When I was 10 years old, I only knew how to crochet because that is all my mother did. When I wanted to learn how to knit, I bought a “Learn How” book and followed the instructions. I did very well. Crochet is also easy to learn because you use only one tool–a crochet needle. The “Learn How” book shows step by step how to do it.

Also you can go to the library and find books on learning to knit and learning to crochet. If all else fails, ask someone who is already knitting and or crocheting to show you. Most knitters know how to crochet also.
